HISTORY OF CYBERBULLYING 



 The phenomenon of cyberbullying began to gain attention with the rise of the internet and mobile technology in the late 1990s. The term itself was popularized around 2000 by researchers Dr. Sameer Hinduja and Dr. Justin W. Patchin, who studied adolescent behavior online. As social media platforms became more widespread in the 2000s, reports of cyberbullying incidents increased significantly. Schools and parents began recognizing the need for awareness and intervention strategies as cases of online harassment became more prevalent. 


As mobile phones 📲and social media became more accessible, the phenomenon became increasingly prevalent. Early cases gained media attention, prompting schools and policymakers to address the issue more seriously.
